The problem

You don't remember when each student got their last belt, who hasn't shown up in months, or what you agreed with them last time. Information is scattered or only in your head.

The solution

MatGoat centralizes all information for each student. Complete history, private notes only you see, and alerts when someone reduces their training frequency.

## Benefits

Objective data

### Informed promotions

Know exactly how many classes attended since their last graduation.

Improved retention

### Identify at-risk students

Detect who's reducing frequency before they quit.

Everything in one place

### Private notes per student

Write down what you need to remember about each person.

## How it works

### Complete profile per student

Personal data, attendance history, belts, payments, all in one place.

### Graduation history

When they got each belt, how many stripes, date of next review.

### Private notes

Write down goals, injuries, agreements... Only you see them.

### Inactivity alerts

The system alerts you if a student hasn't shown up in a while.

### Filters and search

Quickly find students by name, belt, signup date...

### Digital consent at sign-up

Add required or optional sections and retain the accepted text, version, and acceptance date.

## Use cases

Instructor

### Prepare graduations with data

Before a graduation, review who meets the attendance and time requirements.

Academy owner

### Retain your students

Identify students reducing frequency and act before they leave.

## Frequently asked questions

Yes. Each student has a complete history with all classes attended, filterable by date and class type.

No. Private notes are only visible to you and academy administrators. Students don't have access.

Yes. You can export an Excel or CSV summary with fields such as name, email, belt, grade, last class, and total attendance. This is not a complete export of every attendance and promotion event.

You can add required or optional consent sections to sign-up. MatGoat stores a copy of the accepted title and text, its version, an integrity checksum, and the acceptance date. Parent and child accounts can be linked, but a separate parental signature for each minor is not published as a distinct workflow. Confirm your legal requirement before relying on it for parental consent.
