The **Content** section brings together videos, images, PDFs, YouTube links and written pages. Organize material into folders so students can find a technique, a program or academy rules without working through the entire library.

## Organize content into folders

Open **Content** from the menu. To add or change material, you must be an administrator or have permission to manage content. Being able to view the library as a teacher does not automatically allow editing.

Create a collection, enter its name and add a brief description of its contents. A folder such as “Beginner program” is more useful than a generic name if you later share it with a particular plan. You can choose a parent folder when creating or editing a collection to build subfolders.

On the web, use the drag controls to order folders at the same level and items within a collection. Their order helps present a learning sequence; it does not change access. Check the parent folder before reorganizing material, because access to a folder also covers its subfolders.

## Add videos, files and links

1. Enter the destination folder and open the upload option
2. Enter a title that identifies the material
3. Select the file or use **YouTube URL (optional)** for a YouTube link
4. Add a description and confirm the selected collection
5. Wait for the upload to finish and select **Upload media**

Supported files include MP4, MOV and WebM videos up to 1 GB; PNG, JPEG, WebP and GIF images up to 15 MB; and PDFs up to 25 MB. Selecting several files creates separate items. Review their titles afterwards so each one is recognizable.

A YouTube link retains the video’s access conditions on YouTube. Adding it to MatGoat does not turn a public video into a private file or copy its hosting. Check playback from the library before announcing the material.

## Create pages and drafts

The option to write a page opens a text editor instead of the file upload form. Add a title, text, description and folder. Use pages for programs, instructions and resources that you want to maintain within the library.

The **Published** control determines whether the page is published. Leave it disabled to save a draft. People with content management permission can see the draft and keep editing it; students cannot see unpublished pages, even when they have access to the folder.

When ready, open the page, check its links and edit it again to publish it. Publication makes the page visible to people who already meet its content access requirements; it does not open the folder to the whole academy.

## Check the student’s view

Verify the result with a student who has the intended plan. An administrator can see material that this student cannot open. If a folder or file is missing, check [Control who can view your content](https://matgoat.com/en/support/video-permissions/) before duplicating it.

Deleting a collection also deletes its subfolders and associated items. Move any material you want to keep first, and check what remains inside before confirming. Start with a small folder and one published page to validate the structure and access.
