Academy settings determine its identity, default language and local time. You must be an administrator of that academy to change them; a teacher account does not provide access to these settings.

Open the academy details

Go to Teacher > Settings and open Academy details. This form contains the basic details and ranking mode.

Academy details, language and time zone in Settings

  1. Review the academy name, address and website
  2. Select the academy’s default language
  3. Check the time zone and the 12-hour or 24-hour format
  4. Add your logo if it is ready, then save the form

The academy language and your account language are separate settings. Each user can choose their interface language in their account without changing it for everyone else.

The time zone provides the reference for class times and dates. After changing it, open the calendar and check a familiar schedule, particularly if your academy is in a country with multiple time zones.

The form accepts PNG, JPG, GIF and WebP logos. If a logo already exists, it displays a preview and an option to remove it. Your logo also identifies the academy in the sidebar, so choose an image that remains readable at a small size.

Add and organise disciplines

Return to settings and open Disciplines. The main discipline is marked in the list; you can add others from the available catalogue.

Academy disciplines and the main discipline

  1. Choose a discipline from the selector and add it
  2. To change the main discipline, open another discipline’s options and select Set as primary
  3. Confirm the change and check the main-discipline marker

You cannot remove the main discipline before choosing another. For taekwondo, you also select the relevant federation. Available belts depend on the discipline; boxing, wrestling, MMA and muay thai do not use a belt system.

The catalogue includes BJJ/Grappling, judo, aikido, taekwondo, kyokushin karate, Goju-Ryu karate, jūjutsu, kudo, luta livre, boxing, wrestling, MMA and muay thai. When creating class types, assign the appropriate discipline if you teach several.

Choose how the ranking is calculated

In academy details, find How leaderboards are calculated. You can use a time-based ranking; disciplines with belts also offer a graduation-period mode.

This choice changes how the ranking is presented. Periods and ranking groups are configured in their respective sections. If you need to correct the country or tax information absent from this form, ask support to make the change.

Finish by opening the calendar and ranking to check that both reflect the configuration you intend to use.
