The attendance report gathers information for the period used by the academy’s ranking setup. It opens from class history and is designed for printing. It is not a general analytics screen with instructor, student or class-type filters, so begin by checking the period it actually covers.

Open Generate Report

In Teacher > Attendance, select Generate Report. A standalone document opens without the usual navigation, containing the table and print action. Use its back link to return to the previous screen when you have finished reviewing the information.

Academy attendance report with activity columns

Check the period subtitle before interpreting figures. Academies using graduation periods use the period containing today’s date. Time-based mode uses the current month. Calculations stop at today even when the configured period ends later, so future bookings do not become completed attendance.

Interpret the columns

The table distinguishes participating classes, observed classes and totals, with rank, belt and reference dates where applicable. Those dates help explain when counting begins, particularly when a student has changed belt during the period being reviewed.

In weighted statistics, ordinary participation counts 1 and observation 0.5; graduation classes can have a weight of 3. In preregistration academies, a booking without check-in is different from confirmed attendance. Counting names on a class sheet is therefore insufficient to reconstruct every figure in the report.

The report is not the same indicator as promotion progress on a student profile. Promotion progress can use a different starting date and calculation. Check the source record before altering attendance simply to make two totals agree with each other.

  1. Confirm the report’s academy and period
  2. Review several students and their reference dates
  3. Use the print action to open the browser’s print dialog
  4. Select a printer or the device’s save-as-PDF option

Saving a PDF is part of the print dialog, not a separate MatGoat export button. This screen also has no Excel export or arbitrary date-range selector. For a different type of list, consult available reports and exports.

The year view in class history lets you explore that year’s sessions, but it does not turn this report into a filterable annual export. Check which screen you are using before sharing a file with another teacher.

Resolve an attendance discrepancy

First inspect the session, check-in state and whether the person was a participant or observer. Correct the class through its attendance sheet, then reopen the report to check the result.

Monthly class history calendar

If there is no current graduation period, ask an administrator to review the periods. A fallback period title should not be interpreted as a new academy configuration.
