MatGoat distinguishes a payment link for an existing student from the academy’s public signup-and-payment link. The first starts from a specific student record; the second begins enrollment. Sharing one or the other changes which information the form already knows about the person using it.

To collect an online fee, you need active Stripe integration and an eligible plan. If you want to record cash or a bank transfer already received, use manual payment registration. Opening a link or displaying a QR code does not itself record a payment.

  1. Open the student from the roster and select the payments tab
  2. Open the Stripe payment or QR dialog
  3. Choose the plan and review the estimated amount due today
  4. Copy the link or show the QR code to the person who will pay

Check that you are in the correct profile before sharing it. The collection dialog itself does not require permission to register payments; other billing actions can have different access requirements.

The recipient can open the public payment page without signing in. They must review the plan and continue through the relevant confirmation. The QR code opens that flow; scanning it does not automatically authorise a charge or confirm class attendance.

Review today’s amount

The summary can include the initial price, enrollment fee, trial or information about months already paid at reception. Do not quote the monthly price as though it must also be the amount of the first transaction.

When the flow says it will only save a card, today’s amount is zero. This prepares later collections without charging again for a period already recorded as paid. Review Set the first charge: full month, proration or payment at reception before using it with students who have already handed over their fee.

Share public signup and payment

An administrator can configure external signup and payment in student onboarding settings. That section provides the academy’s public link. Review the enabled options and visible plans before placing it on your website or sending it to a new student.

This link should not replace the profile link when the student already exists. Do not assume it supports every family arrangement either: use the available representative flow and check the particular case before registering several children.

Check the result

After payment, return to the profile and review the plan, coverage and payment record. A bank debit can remain pending while processing; distinguish that status from a completed payment.

If the student closed the page without confirmation, check their status before generating another collection or manually recording the same amount. Share Choose a plan and pay your membership online with anyone who needs help completing the transaction.
